In conjunction with my retirement and the acquisition of The McClean Report by TechInsights, IC Insights will be permanently closing on December 30, 2022 after 25 years in business. We appreciate you placing your trust in IC Insights’ market research reports and services and all of us want to sincerely thank you for your business and friendship over the past 25 years.

After 42 years of tracking the semiconductor industry, I will officially make the transition into the next phase of my life. What a ride it has been! When I first entered the semiconductor industry in 1980 it was a $14.7 billion business and in 2022 it is expected to be $636.0 billion.

I feel very fortunate to have spent my entire professional career tracking and attempting to forecast what I believe is the most interesting and important business segment in the world (as I have stated many times in the past, the semiconductor industry is never boring). I am also extremely thankful that I have had such hard-working and loyal colleagues that were essential to creating the massive volumes of the semiconductor industry market research information that we have released together over the years. This industry has always had some of the most brilliant and at the same time nicest people working within it, and it has been my privilege and honor to have worked with you over the past 42 years. Tempus Fugit!
